The Second Coming
The Second Coming (sometimes called the Second Advent or the Parousia) is a Christian belief regarding the return of Jesus after his ascension to heaven about two thousand years ago. The idea is based on both Old & New Testament prophecies and the teaching of Jesus himself, and is part of most Christian eschatologies (the part of theology concerned with death, judgement, and the final destiny of the soul and of humankind).
